How does it work?

Freedom begins with the mind. Specifically, freedom begins in a place very few people are able to access – the subconscious mind. Your beliefs, emotions, habits, protective reactions, imagination, and intuition are all stored here. Your subconscious mind is what drives the show behind the scenes, and is what you want to target when creating meaningful change in your life. If the subconscious and conscious mind are on different pages, it can manifest as negative issues in your life.

For example, perhaps you have a fear of public speaking. Consciously you know there is no reason to be scared or nervous; you are confident about the material and are presenting for an audience eager to learn from you. However, even though you consciously know this, your heart still pounds and you feel weak in your body. Hypnosis enables your subconscious mind to agree with your conscious mind, dissolving these physical reactions, and helping you to remain calm and confident in your presentation.

Hypnosis can be the key to unlocking profound healing.

What does it feel like?

Hypnosis feels like a deep state of relaxation with heightened focus and concentration. As you are guided through fully relaxing your body and mind, your stresses and worries dissipate as peace and serenity wash over you. In each hypnotherapy session, you are guided through a visualization that engages your imagination, transporting your subconscious into a mindful and healing state. When the session is over most people notice a feeling of lightness and tranquility.

About the Sessions:

Your private one-on-one sessions are tailored specifically to you. Each session is confidential and customized to meet your goals.  

Heather begins by asking you to speak about what areas in your life you would like to focus on in the session, where you feel you need improvement, and/or any issues that you’d like to target. This talking portion of your session lasts for about 30 minutes while you two unearth any root issues, identify limiting beliefs, and formulate a plan of action.

Once ready, you will make yourself physically comfortable, either in-office on her cushioned recliner with a blanket and eye mask, or in the convenience of your own home. Heather then guides you through a relaxing visual exercise that brings you into a trance-like state and begins your hypnosis program. When finished, she gently brings you back into your conscious mind, and you have a quick debrief of anything you experienced while you were under hypnosis.
